Salary & Benefits

 People want to be paid fairly for their work. The employee benefits reflect their needs. If they are not being paid well, the employee will not motivated.If employees aren’t satisfied with their compensation or they don’t have the opportunity to move into a higher-paying role, they may look for a promotion elsewhere.

 

Professional Development

Employees need to learn & grow since they want to develop their skills. Otherwise they may fed up with the monotony work life style. It could drive them to look for a new job opportunities which offers more in their job role.

 

Work Flexibility

Earlier, Work From Home (WFH) method was not that much popular. But after the covid-19 raised, the work patterns of organizations have been completely changed. If the organization does not offer work flexibility, the employees may looking for a job which that does.

It’s important for people to feel that their own personal values are reflected in company values. If people feel like things aren’t done in a way that aligns with their values, they could seek out an opportunity that feels like a better fit.

 

Sense of purpose 

Why we are here for? Employees want to know. They must feeling like they’re contributing to something is a key factor in employee engagement levels. If the work feels meaningless, employees could start looking for elsewhere which does.

 

Personality clash & Conflict

an open-minded company culture is the best way to prevent employee conflict. Sometimes it can come down to people just not seeing eye-to-eye. The thing is, we often learn the most by working with people who have a different perspective from us, and trying to understand where they’re coming from. This is how we all start to think more critically, and ultimately, it’s what creates smarter, more competitive teams and work forces. 

  

Burnout and well being

If the employees are not spending a balance work life, that could affect to their personal satisfaction & motivation. Hence, the company must create the opportunity for their employees, that not to be frustrated.

  1. Employees are not motivated by money every time. Most of the employees praise the challenge or autonomy in the environment. If they have skills, they trying to move higher possession. They always trying to make their educational background. it will be one of the causes raised against the employee turnover.

    1. Actually you are right. Turnover creates more cost to the company. Here, The HRD has the responsibility to find out the reasons & to take the precautions to mitigate the risk of employee turnover.

  3. High employee turnover is a disaster for many organizations: the main causes of turnover are wage satisfaction, other benefits from the company, and alternative employment opportunities. It costs valuable time and money and can cause staff to lose morale. The company may face challenges due to lack of productivity and shortage of trained staff.

    1. I would like to add the "behavior of the superiors" will also affect to the high employee turnover. Even employees are being paid well, they are expecting a good working environment.
